Block of the Month - Color Way - Month Three

Just wanted to show the color way that our third block is being done in, for Fly Away Home block of the month.

I had a great show in Anamosa this last weekend, it was at the Lawrence Center and was put on by the Anamosa guild. Thanks to every one who came out to see it. They hold this show every 2 years so, we will be back in 2012.

Be sure and mark May 15th on your calendars. This is the date of the annual Arts Festival here in Marion. If you have never been, you are missing out on great art works from around the world. We also put out several of our samples for sale. So, if you are looking for an already made item now is the time to get it.

Spring Has Arrived

Yes, Spring is finally here. The other day when it was raining I said to my husband it smells like spring, the smell of worms was in the air. My grandfather would have us out hunting the big night crawlers after a rain. I guess that is why I think spring smells like worms.






















We don't have any worms here at the store. But we have gotten in a lot of colorful new fabrics for the season. Now I think every season smells like new fabric.

Check out "Frolic" a new line by Sandy Gervais. We have even made up a small lap quilt with the line. Stop by or call us if you would like one of the kits. Of course, with every fabric it is on a limited basis. We have some really great deals on Janome sewing machines right now. Janome is coming out with their new line-up this spring. Hence, we are having sales on the ones we have in stock. They start as low as $299 for a great electronic machine, usually you only find this kind of pricing on mechanical machines. Just wanted to show the color way that our first block is being done in, for Fly Away Home block of the month.

I also wanted to give you a heads up on a price break on the Janome

My Very First Posting

I am finally getting up to the 21st century. I want to give you a heads up on what is happening here at the cottage rose.

We are starting a new block of the month, "Fly Away Home", on Saturday Feb 20th at 10:00am. This is the first block of the month I have designed and I hope everyone likes it. If you are interested in joining us give me a call or email and we will get you signed up.

I also wanted to show you a few of the new samples we have up.
