Reversing Applique Shapes

I have always struggled with how to reverse applique shapes when I am using fusible web.  Then it dawned on me.  I am always using freezer paper when I am working with wool appliques.  Why not utilize this method for reversing.  I Fuse web to the wrong side of my fabric or wool I am working with.  Then trace the shapes on to the paper side of freezer paper and iron to the right side of the fabric.  You can now cut out the shapes and have them going in the right direction.  It may take a little more fabric but you can work with how much fusible you need.  I have also found I can iron both parts at the same time.  This has saved me from copying the shape, cutting it out, retracing it in reverse and then fusing it and cutting it.  Why did it take me so long to think of this?  Here is a small project I tried it on.  I wanted the leaves and stems to curve in a certain direction so they needed to be reversed.  This is one of  "the cottage rose" - Original Patterns called "Flower Box"
